  Quarantine is tragic in the uprising pandemic that has brought most of our favorite things to an end, and most of us have nothing to do but look at the disappointing updates and news. But this series will be reviewing books that are worth the time spent in your isolation. Reading is a cozy and addictive way to spend your time, not to mention the different realities and worlds books can suck you into that makes any boring day one of wonder and amazement.  

What makes books so special? Why do you read? It’s simple. Home. Any book can make you feel happy, sad, or even confused. But one thing they all have in common, is the sense of belonging that it can provide readers. And with the whole of 2020, and the beginning of 2021, it can be difficult to be in comfort. Hogwarts, Ketterdam, Ravka, The night court. These are all places that contribute to the “homesickness” a lot of readers feel. Characters inside these worlds can also give you this feeling. Hermione Granger, Nina Zenik, and Feyre Acheron. These three female leads have different personalities, and different worlds they inhabit, but for a lot of people, these are also comfort characters, and can provide them with a friend in a time of need. These worlds are full of magnificent wonders, charming characters, tragic stories, and epic romances, that can make any quarantine bearable.  

Every author has a unique writing style. Leigh Bardugo sends you to stories of war, romance, and Grisha. Jane Austen transports you to a land of ballrooms, gossip and true love. Jennifer Niven takes you through the ups and downs of teenage years. These continuous reviews may assist you in finding your favorite author, in which you can better enjoy your reading. 

This series will consist of straight forward summaries, no spoilers, and a variety of all genres.  You can also expect ratings out of five stars for each book, and what types of people would most enjoy them (YA fantasy gals, hopeless romantics etc.). It may also consist of announcements, such as tv remakes, author controversies, and “coming soon” books.
