On Tuesday, May 18, North Springs hosted a signing for Buck Olson, son of Social Studies instructor Kelley Olson. Buck will be going to the University of Chicago in September to play baseball and to learn economics. The signing was an important reminder of the collective supportiveness of North Springs with its own families.

Writes Mrs. Olson: “The UChicago application process was pretty intense, so we greatly appreciate his teachers for recs, Eric Smith & Senorita Romero…his counselor, Ms. Shabazz, and Mr. Hanson for your help in coordinating and signing all of the paperwork; and Cat Beveridge for your thoughtful dedication to Buck and all of your students in painstakingly & so thoughtfully walking them through the application essays.

“Many of you fine folks have taught Buck and/or supported me and our family for so many years….Can’t thank all of you enough.”
