UNICEF has helped save more children’s lives than any other humanitarian organization, by providing health care, immunizations, clean water, sanitation, nutrition, education, emergency relief and more. Globally, 2.4 billion people lack access to improved sanitation facilities, and 663 million people use unsafe drinking water sources. Ensuring access to water and sanitation in schools can also help reduce the number of children who miss out on their education – especially girls – by having to collect water for their family during the day.  The North Springs Water Walk is a two mile walk where we carry full buckets to help us understand through experience the struggles many people go through every day.
